I have this php database that uses sql. no i tried creatingpop ups to view the information. my database is on book titles, price, description. when i view the descriptions, i lose the text format. it all becomes a single line of info. now i used the n to
function, but tht simply does wat it says. i lose things like double spaces as my tab in the description. how do i not lose that tab? or how do i maintain the original format? any ideas? php.net/manual doesnt really have the answer i think.

Howdy! I didn’t see this in my Dummies book for the specific MySQL instance on Yahoo! Small Biz web hosting. I’m trying to connect, and get the error “Can’t connect to local mySQL server through socket ‘tmp/mysql.sock’ (46)”… The string I’m trying to use is below, copied from Yahoo! Help. The table sits in the “mysql” database, and seems vanilla enough (for an ASP guy, anyway). But no workie. I know this is going to be a simple question, but after three days of noodle-scratchin’, thought I’d ask. Thanks!

For one thing, Ridge didn’t immediately resign. He resigned after the election. If he believed at the time that manipulating the terror alert system was damaging to the country, and he said nothing, and when he did resign, he said nothing, then he doesn’t come off as a particularly sympathetic figure. Ridge left the White House in 2005. He’s joined several corporate boards, has made a lot of money consulting on homeland security, and has been mostly silent. He’s probably been saving it for the book.

I am looking for a easy to use script to plug into my webpage that will give the effect of the page curling and turning like in a book or magazine whenever a link is accessed. I know you can use php and flash for this but is there a simple way like DHTML document effects. Thanks for your help.

I intend to learn PHP and SWF and would like to work with a book or online course that starts at the basics but provides insides for people that don’t fear source code.
should work with MAC OS X as I have no Windows machine…
