Can xampp make my computer vulnerable?
I downloaded xampp a few months ago, mainly to learn php/mysql. I know that it is not secure and should not be used for live projects, but can anybody access my computer externally when I am running it? I recently found a trojan on my computer and as a result an account I have has been hacked into, so I’m a little paranoid about security now. Any tips on how to completely secure xampp would be greatly appreciated.
How to enable Server Side Include in Apache?
I use XAMPP installer (product of ApacheFriends.org) to automatically install Apache ,MySQL, and PHP. The problems is: Server Side Include is deactivated by default. How to enable it? Why SSI is deactivated by default? Is this dangerous if I try to enable it?
I use Windows XP Professional and XAMPP version 1.5.1

How do I change my PhpMyadmin Directory?
phpmyadmin is not in my htdocs folder, it is outside the htdocs folder so I do not know how it is accessed in the first place. Which config file would I alter to change the name of my phpmyadmin folder name in XAMPP? I searched php.ini and httpd.conf for any reference to phpmyadmin but was unable to locate it. I would like to rename the phpmyadmin location because I have just noticed a vulnerability scan in my logs which scans that directory, if I am able to change the directory I can prevent unwanted security breaches. I am using WinXP and XAMPP webserver.

xampp i installed?
Ok I went and installed xampp but when I clike on the control panel and run the apache and click the admin next to it. it takes me to the website and when i click on status there are some security risks and I went to the security and created the username and password the proble now i am getting is that when I clck the php admin it says enter the username and password when i enter the user name and pass it saya Error
#1045 – Access denied for user ‘goldy’@'localhost’ (using password: NO) what the hell does that mean what do i do here any tutorials on this xampp on how to use it and configuer it
Ok I had the same password for the php admin and the msql but when i try to enter the password for the phpadmin it say its dinied
